Manda's Mailbox Monday - Two RAK's

Lucky me. A mailbox full of pretty pink RAK's this week. I love pink. I am so a pink girl.

The first one is a RAK from Lauri in Toledo, OH. I just love getting mail from all over . . . it is so interesting to see all the different places and stamps . . . She sent it in a pretty pink envelope too! I just love the colors on this one. It is pink passion, pretty in pink, chocolate chip and just a hint of celery in that designer paper. I love the pairing of the designer paper with fun ribbon choices. This card truly inkspires me. Oh, and how could I not just LOVE the pretty flowers with princess jewel brads in the center. WOW! Thank you for brightening my day with this gorgeous card Lauri! You can visit Lauri's blog if you want some more fun inkspiration. Thank you for thinking of me Lauri!

This second RAK card is from another wonderfully talented stamper, Rachel B (rachelhope13) in Boise, ID. Seriously, this card is SO AMAZING in person. My photo did not capture all the little glittery spots in the flourishes, etc. WOW! Thank you so much for sending this to me Rachel! Each of those pink and red flowers was made using punches and laying them over one another. Clearly a lot of time and love was put into this pretty little card. I will treasure it. Thanks for your inkspiration in my mailbox. I just love it!
Rachel is also a blogger and you can visit her blog: Hope Stamps Eternal

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). Stamps : For the Soul (Hanna Stamps), "God Bless" sentiment by American Art Stamp Paper: Lily Kate - Basic Grey, Neenah Solar White, SU vellum card stock, SU Whisper White Ink : Onyx Black Versafine Accessories : Sheer 5/8th Inch organdy ribbon, Nestabilities (Circle and scalloped circle), sewing machine, white thread, circle of plastic canvas, copic markers, white brads, paper piercing ...

Pinecone Balls Revisited

So lately I have been noticing that a lot of the traffic to my blog has been to the tutorial on how to make the pinecone balls that I put together about a year ago. SO, due to the increase in popularity, I thought I would get rid of some of my extra supplies on hand (because I made some already this year again and my fingers are sore enough) -- I have decided to giveaway a kit that contains enough supplies to make three balls. It features some great papers and ribbon and will be similar to the ones you may have seen at orientaltrading.com . I know it is not a huge giveaway, but I thought it would be fun! To enter, tell me what your favorite Christmas tradition is in the comments section of this post. I will draw a random winner on December 1st , so enter today!!! UPDATED: We have a WINNER -- Post number 44 was chosen using the random number generator and the winner is *drum roll please* Rosella said... WOW! I'd love to make some of these beautiful pinecones! I think my fa...
