Happy Easter!

We made it back safe from our trip to UT! And miraculously we still have some sanity left -- that was a super long car ride for a couple of kids. They had a lot of fun playing with their cousins though. I am really glad we went and got together with family. It was a short visit, but I feel like we talked more in this visit than we had on any other one that we had previously taken. I have been sleeping most of the day so far . . . catching up after getting home at 4 am this morning. I should be back stamping tomorrow sometime . . . I have stuff I need to get done :) Hope you had a wonderful Easter!

Wow! Road trips are fun....even with kiddos you can look back AFTER recouperating and laugh!

My Decade Later Comeback and Playing Catch Up

Hello friends, It's been awhile and I kind of dropped off the face of the planet since moving to Oregon. I got busy with growing four babies into teens, and attempting to hold together a marriage with a partner who was working out of town for the most part. It was a lot! Truth be told, I have been spending most of my time over on Instagram which allows for more quick picture and caption posts (@the.amanda.sewell), but I really, genuinely miss having a journal of our adventures, so I'm back.  Some changes, my ex-partner moved out in October of 2023 (after 23 years of marriage, who would have thought?) and I am on a new, single mom adventure with the fabulous four. HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). Hey guys! Happy 2010! I was so not ready for vacation to be done when I had to send my kids back to school yesterday! *sad face* We had such a fantastic break! Guess what though?
