Disneyland - September 21st, 22nd, 23rd

I was really excited for Disneyland this month because I knew that the holiday (halloween) stuff would be up!  I love Haunted Mansion at Holiday time.  It is more happy than usual.  It makes me smile.  I also love all the pumpkins and harvest stuff that is up!  It makes me smile!  I love autumn!  We didn't get to the Harvest Party at Big Thunder Mountain Ranch, but we will in October when we go with the kids grandparents!

We stayed at Portofino Inn & Suites this time, a new hotel for us.  It was older, but clean and comfortable.  The reviews online made me nervous, but it turned out to be pretty decent.  We walked to the park most days, as it was super close.  I took SO many pictures this month, perhaps to make up for last month where I took very few.  Here are a few of my favorites:

Halloween at the Entrance Gate to Disneyland

Halloween inside on all the light poles (I really need to take a full shot of Main St. USA Halloween Decor)

Meeting Tigger, Pooh and Eeyore

Halloween Haunted Mansion with Nightmare Before Christmas

Well hello there Mr. Skellington *smiles*

Halloween is the best time of year at Disneyland, in my opinion.

Meeting Jake from Disney Jr. and exploring Cars Land again -- lots of fun!

Meeting Pinocchio for the first time and keeping cool with frozen lemonades during a heat wave!

Girls being girly and meeting the princesses . . . love the new location across from It's a Small World.  Perfect use of that space there!

Feeding the kiddies SUGAR -- love seeing their happy faces and love seeing all the smiles from older peoples at Disneyland when they see their sugar coated faces!

Meeting Pluto and Mickey!  I love character meetings, it really is what makes Disneyland the happiest place on earth.  It makes it superior to other theme parks!

Downtown Disney at the Lego Store . . . love to see the Master Builder creations they always have there.

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). Stamps : For the Soul (Hanna Stamps), "God Bless" sentiment by American Art Stamp Paper: Lily Kate - Basic Grey, Neenah Solar White, SU vellum card stock, SU Whisper White Ink : Onyx Black Versafine Accessories : Sheer 5/8th Inch organdy ribbon, Nestabilities (Circle and scalloped circle), sewing machine, white thread, circle of plastic canvas, copic markers, white brads, paper piercing ...

Pinecone Balls Revisited

So lately I have been noticing that a lot of the traffic to my blog has been to the tutorial on how to make the pinecone balls that I put together about a year ago. SO, due to the increase in popularity, I thought I would get rid of some of my extra supplies on hand (because I made some already this year again and my fingers are sore enough) -- I have decided to giveaway a kit that contains enough supplies to make three balls. It features some great papers and ribbon and will be similar to the ones you may have seen at orientaltrading.com . I know it is not a huge giveaway, but I thought it would be fun! To enter, tell me what your favorite Christmas tradition is in the comments section of this post. I will draw a random winner on December 1st , so enter today!!! UPDATED: We have a WINNER -- Post number 44 was chosen using the random number generator and the winner is *drum roll please* Rosella said... WOW! I'd love to make some of these beautiful pinecones!
