Triangle Box Table Favors (for Skipping Stones Design)

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian readers and friends. Hope you are enjoying a relaxing and tummy stuffing weekend. If you are in a panic and looking for cute favors for your dinner table, put some of these together really quick!

I used 4" by 8" paper for mine . . . it makes a little smaller box, which I prefer. I scored my box before stamping it. I stamped my apricot appeal paper with wheat tares first, and then embossed them in gold. Once that was done, I used my SU ink colors to stamp turkey drumticks, and leaves to create my autumn paper (all of these stamps come in the Thanksgiving set by Skipping Stones Design).

The box is filled with gold hershey kisses (gotta match, of course pumpkin spice ones would be perfect too) and tied with a pumpkin pie grosgrain ribbon. The final touch was to add a little "Happy Thanksgiving" sentiment which also comes in the set. I layered it using my nestabilites ovals, and voila - quick and easy favors.

My Decade Later Comeback and Playing Catch Up

Hello friends, It's been awhile and I kind of dropped off the face of the planet since moving to Oregon. I got busy with growing four babies into teens, and attempting to hold together a marriage with a partner who was working out of town for the most part. It was a lot! (SSD014) - Ear Infections and Pneumonia

I apologize for my late posting today . . . the countdown to being 40 weeks preggo continues.  This week has been crazy out of control already, and it's only Tuesday!  YIKES!   Friday night Baby E was running a fever and really congested.  We gave him tylenol/motrin, but he would not take in fluids, and I was worried about him, so I slept on he floor beside his bed (stupid thing to do at 39 weeks pregnant).  Anyway, I cried a bit, and when I woke up in the morning, I had the most intense pain in my right ear ever!  Seriously OW!   Saturday, Mic took the baby to the pediatrician, where he was diagnosed with double ear infections, and pneumonia -- he had a breathing treatment there, and an antibiotic shot . . . and his lungs were sounding much more clear when he left.  Late Saturday night his fever broke, much to our relief.   Sunday was an okay day, mostly we just all rested -- an interesting thought occurred to me while I was on th...
