Happy Thanksgiving Crochet Dish Cloth Gift (for Skipping Stones Design)

As I was cleaning out all my crafting supplies in the new office -- I came across lots of kitchen cotton yarns, and I decided I needed to do something with them, rather than just store them for eternity, so I thought I would make some dish cloths with them.

It's a quick and easy project and I thought would be nice to give to a friend or neighbor.

Here is the pattern for the dish cloths that I used:
The only changes I made was that I used a "G" hook. I also added a round of single crochet at the end because I wanted the cloths to have a slighly thicker border on them. I made a tag using my Thanksgiving set (Skipping Stones Design) and some pretty paper by K & Co. that I picked up at JoAnn's.

Stamps: Thanksgiving (Skipping Stones) Paper: Tim Coffey Fall Mat Pad (K & Company), More Mustard (SU!), Solar White Classic Crest (Neenah) Ink: Bravo Burgandy (SU!), More Mustard (SU!), Ruby Red (SU!), Onyx Black Versafine (Tsukineko), Vintage Sepia Versafine (Tsukineko) Accessories: hole punch (Fiskars), Tag corner rounder (SU!), dimensionals (SU!), 1 1/2 " Brushed SHR C3 Copper ribbon (Offray)

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). Stamps : For the Soul (Hanna Stamps), "God Bless" sentiment by American Art Stamp Paper: Lily Kate - Basic Grey, Neenah Solar White, SU vellum card stock, SU Whisper White Ink : Onyx Black Versafine Accessories : Sheer 5/8th Inch organdy ribbon, Nestabilities (Circle and scalloped circle), sewing machine, white thread, circle of plastic canvas, copic markers, white brads, paper piercing ...

My Decade Later Comeback and Playing Catch Up

Hello friends, It's been awhile and I kind of dropped off the face of the planet since moving to Oregon. I got busy with growing four babies into teens, and attempting to hold together a marriage with a partner who was working out of town for the most part. It was a lot! Truth be told, I have been spending most of my time over on Instagram which allows for more quick picture and caption posts (@the.amanda.sewell), but I really, genuinely miss having a journal of our adventures, so I'm back.  Some changes, my ex-partner moved out in October of 2023 (after 23 years of marriage, who would have thought?) and I am on a new, single mom adventure with the fabulous four. Luckily, they are adjusting to the changes well as we navigate this challenging time as a family team. Things are still in flux and hopefully at the end of all of this, the dust will settle and we will end up landing on our feet. Because of this change, I needed to go back to work and after not working for the past lo...
