FS101 - JayDeKay AND I Love My Garden Hanna

My camera battery died so I apologize for the delay in uploading these cards! I have been busy busy busy lately . . . seriously don't know how the days are flying by so fast, but they are!! I can't believe it! Here are two cards I created using some of Judy's cards as inspiration. The first one did not turn out how I had planned, it's okay, just not my absolute favorite ever, so I created the second one to make myself feel better! Good thing it turned out cute!

Ink: Versamark (Tsukineko), Pretty in Pink Classic (SU!), Onyx Black Versafine Accessories: Button brads (Making Memories), Copic ciao markers, sewing machine, white thread, dimensionals (SU!), clear embossing powder, Paper edge distresser (Heidi Swapp)

***************

This second card features the gorgeous sunflower stamp in this set. I just loved coloring it with my copics. I came across this paper in my stash (I bought it at JoAnn's not too long ago) and thought it would be perfect for the sunflower. The bottom half of the card is just the reverse side of the paper!

HEY SUNSHINE

Stamps: I Love My Garden (Hanna Stamps), Things Hanna Would Say (Hanna Stamps) Paper: Harvest Row - Decor Stripe (Heidi Grace Designs), More Mustard (SU!) , Solar Crest White (Neenah) Ink: Onyx Black Versafine, Chocolate Chip (SU!) Accessories: Tangerine Mini Brads (Doodlebug Designs Inc.), Sunflower Yellow gingham ribbon (Recollections), sewing machine, brown thread, clear embossing powder, copic ciao markers, sponge, dimensionals (SU!)

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). Stamps : For the Soul (Hanna Stamps), "God Bless" sentiment by American Art Stamp Paper: Lily Kate - Basic Grey, Neenah Solar White, SU vellum card stock, SU Whisper White Ink : Onyx Black Versafine Accessories : Sheer 5/8th Inch organdy ribbon, Nestabilities (Circle and scalloped circle), sewing machine, white thread, circle of plastic canvas, copic markers, white brads, paper piercing ...

Pinecone Balls Revisited

So lately I have been noticing that a lot of the traffic to my blog has been to the tutorial on how to make the pinecone balls that I put together about a year ago. SO, due to the increase in popularity, I thought I would get rid of some of my extra supplies on hand (because I made some already this year again and my fingers are sore enough) -- I have decided to giveaway a kit that contains enough supplies to make three balls. It features some great papers and ribbon and will be similar to the ones you may have seen at orientaltrading.com . I know it is not a huge giveaway, but I thought it would be fun! To enter, tell me what your favorite Christmas tradition is in the comments section of this post. I will draw a random winner on December 1st , so enter today!!! UPDATED: We have a WINNER -- Post number 44 was chosen using the random number generator and the winner is *drum roll please* Rosella said... WOW! I'd love to make some of these beautiful pinecones!
