Happy Birthday Kari

I made this card for my SIL a long time ago, but I did not want her to see it before it got to her in the mail, so I decided I would not upload it till her birthday. Usually I am WAY behind on sending out cards, but I decided to try and get ahead and make a few super early!!! This was made using a previously stamped image -- I have been making efforts to use up my collection of these. Happy Birthday to Kari!

Hope you like my creation! I used SC188 on Splitcoaststampers. Here are the rest of the details:

Stamps: Cakeabella, Sentiment by Hero Arts Paper: Pixie Pink, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White, Carolees Creations - Pink Scratch Dots Ink: Close to Cocoa, Pixie Pink, Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip Accessories: Sewing machine, brown thread, prima flowers, swarovski crystals, quickie glue pen, SU 1 3/8 and 1 1/4 circle punches, glue dots, aquapainter

I am off to take my 28 week glucose test today -- wish me luck -- I hate drinking the nasty drink, but worse than that is the dealing with two kids for an hour while I wait.

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). Stamps : For the Soul (Hanna Stamps), "God Bless" sentiment by American Art Stamp Paper: Lily Kate - Basic Grey, Neenah Solar White, SU vellum card stock, SU Whisper White Ink : Onyx Black Versafine Accessories : Sheer 5/8th Inch organdy ribbon, Nestabilities (Circle and scalloped circle), sewing machine, white thread, circle of plastic canvas, copic markers, white brads, paper piercing ...

Pinecone Balls Revisited

So lately I have been noticing that a lot of the traffic to my blog has been to the tutorial on how to make the pinecone balls that I put together about a year ago. SO, due to the increase in popularity, I thought I would get rid of some of my extra supplies on hand (because I made some already this year again and my fingers are sore enough) -- I have decided to giveaway a kit that contains enough supplies to make three balls. It features some great papers and ribbon and will be similar to the ones you may have seen at orientaltrading.com . I know it is not a huge giveaway, but I thought it would be fun! To enter, tell me what your favorite Christmas tradition is in the comments section of this post. I will draw a random winner on December 1st , so enter today!!! UPDATED: We have a WINNER -- Post number 44 was chosen using the random number generator and the winner is *drum roll please* Rosella said... WOW! I'd love to make some of these beautiful pinecones!
