A Little Crazy on the Stitching . . .

Happy Saturday! Thanks for stopping by! Are you having a good day so far? Are you taking lots of time to relax, stamp and drink lots of water? Or maybe that is just me, being preggo and in the desert, but water seems to be always going into me! *giggles* My hubby and I are off to shop for appliances for our old house so we can rent it out. We gave up on trying to sell it for awhile since the market is just SO bad here. Hopefully, we can rent it and when things pick up we will sell.

I think I am starting to actually believe that more is more (thanks Jami) when it comes to stitching on the cards I make. Sometimes, I do some stitching and then just HAVE to add some more because it just works. This card though, I went a little crazy. I think it works, and I love the fun playful color scheme!

DON'T FORGET: Desperate Housewives - Season Finale tomorrow night!!! *giddy*

Stamps: Tubing Riley (Hanna Stamps), Family Phrases (SU!) Paper: Basic Grey - Two Scoops, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Prism Baby Pink Dark Ink: Versafine Onyx Black Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils, Sansodor, Blending Stumps, Turquoise grosgrain ribbon, Scalloped circle punch - Marvy/Uchida, White Gel Pen - Inkssentials, Sewing Machine, White thread, brads, diamond stickles.

Manda stamping = Normal!
Manda relaxing = Mostly Normal!

That one depends on if it is a Type A kind of day or not. Although I must admit that even when kids throw things on her ceiling, color on her walls or dogs pee on her floors she, at least, seems relaxed.

Manda shopping = Normal and Common!
Manda drinking water = STRANGE!

I don't care if you are in the desert and/or pregnant I know the truth. I know past doctors approved Soda Pop out of sheer desparation just to get you to consume liquid. You MUST be getting wiser with age. LOL!

Not getting wiser with age, just in the desert and when it is 100 degrees or more and then on top of that I can't eat much because it makes me puke, water is a good option -- although for the record, I do prefer gatorade or koolaid :)

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). Stamps : For the Soul (Hanna Stamps), "God Bless" sentiment by American Art Stamp Paper: Lily Kate - Basic Grey, Neenah Solar White, SU vellum card stock, SU Whisper White Ink : Onyx Black Versafine Accessories : Sheer 5/8th Inch organdy ribbon, Nestabilities (Circle and scalloped circle), sewing machine, white thread, circle of plastic canvas, copic markers, white brads, paper piercing ...

Pinecone Balls Revisited

So lately I have been noticing that a lot of the traffic to my blog has been to the tutorial on how to make the pinecone balls that I put together about a year ago. SO, due to the increase in popularity, I thought I would get rid of some of my extra supplies on hand (because I made some already this year again and my fingers are sore enough) -- I have decided to giveaway a kit that contains enough supplies to make three balls. It features some great papers and ribbon and will be similar to the ones you may have seen at orientaltrading.com . I know it is not a huge giveaway, but I thought it would be fun! To enter, tell me what your favorite Christmas tradition is in the comments section of this post. I will draw a random winner on December 1st , so enter today!!! UPDATED: We have a WINNER -- Post number 44 was chosen using the random number generator and the winner is *drum roll please* Rosella said... WOW! I'd love to make some of these beautiful pinecones!
