Are you in LOVE yet?????

It was so super fun looking at all the Hanna Stamps Design team blogs yesterday, but I have to say that my absolute favorite card that I saw was Sherry's. It seriously made me laugh out loud. Click HERE to see it!

On to todays fun card -- As per yesterdays confession, I did a wee bit of stitching on this card too! The colors for this card came from the polka dots on the background paper. I cannot remember the last time I used going grey as a base for my card, and I really like it! Hanna is colored with prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I added a little bling (swarovski crystal) at the neckline of her dress because she is that kind of a gal! He handbag was colored with pink first and then I put a layer of magenta colored stickles over it.
I used my target $1 spot heart punch (I think I picked that up last year around Valentines day) and then I had some fun heart shaped brads from making memories and I put them over the punched hearts. The lips are stamped by me in pixie pink, pink passion, purely pomegranate, going grey and staz on black (I know it looks like matching designer paper *giggles* JK). Sentiment is from the Valentines Day Hanna set and is SO TRUE!!!! Ribbons are from my collection and I believe both of them came from Hobby Lobby. Hope you like todays card! Check back tomorrow for more Hanna! Only 3 more days until you can buy this baby . . .

Stamps: Hanna Stamps Celebration Set (available Jan 4th, 2008) Paper: KI Memories, SU Going Grey, Pink Passion, Whisper White Ink: Staz On Black by Tsukineko, going grey, pink passion, pixie pink, staz on black, purely pomegranate Accessories: Prismacolor pencils, gamsol, silver heart brads, heart punch (Target), black polka dots on pink, white polka dots on black ribbon, sewing machine, black thread

Very cute Amanda and I love how even and perfect your stitching is. When I tried it, it zig zagged all over the place. In the trash it went.

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). Stamps : For the Soul (Hanna Stamps), "God Bless" sentiment by American Art Stamp Paper: Lily Kate - Basic Grey, Neenah Solar White, SU vellum card stock, SU Whisper White Ink : Onyx Black Versafine Accessories : Sheer 5/8th Inch organdy ribbon, Nestabilities (Circle and scalloped circle), sewing machine, white thread, circle of plastic canvas, copic markers, white brads, paper piercing ...

Pinecone Balls Revisited

So lately I have been noticing that a lot of the traffic to my blog has been to the tutorial on how to make the pinecone balls that I put together about a year ago. SO, due to the increase in popularity, I thought I would get rid of some of my extra supplies on hand (because I made some already this year again and my fingers are sore enough) -- I have decided to giveaway a kit that contains enough supplies to make three balls. It features some great papers and ribbon and will be similar to the ones you may have seen at orientaltrading.com . I know it is not a huge giveaway, but I thought it would be fun! To enter, tell me what your favorite Christmas tradition is in the comments section of this post. I will draw a random winner on December 1st , so enter today!!! UPDATED: We have a WINNER -- Post number 44 was chosen using the random number generator and the winner is *drum roll please* Rosella said... WOW! I'd love to make some of these beautiful pinecones!
