Stomach Flu and my first ever crop

J was up all night with the stomach flu I think. He has been vomiting hourly and his tummy is doing waves right before he vomits. Poor little thing. I am just trying to keep him feeling okay today. Have I mentioned recently how much I love love love my steamer! What a lifesaver that has been. Vomit and carpets sure don't mix well . . .

Tonight I will be helping out with the creating keepsakes crop in Mesa. It will be interesting because I am more of a cardmaker than a scrapper and this will be my first crop I have ever been to. I will report and let you all know how it goes.

Tomorrow (Friday) -- I have my monthly ward gathering for Scrapbooking and projects at my house, so I will be home. It will be a nice rest. Then Saturday I will be back working at Creating Keepsakes all day -- I work 8-12 and then have 12-6 off and then work the send off crop that night. Should be fun! Anyway, all that said, I will be scarce. I will try to post at least one project today . . . but it all depends on how things go with the sick boy.

Have a happy Grey's Day! -- NEW EPISODE TONIGHT - I will have to watch it online tomorrow *sigh* Busy, busy, busy!

Amanda,

My 12 yr old son has had this for two days. I hope your little one feels better soon.
I'll be interested to hear how the Creating Keepsakes event goes for you. I live in the Phoenix area too and have never attended any event like that. Sounds like a ton of fun.

Hope your little guys feels better soon!

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). Stamps : For the Soul (Hanna Stamps), "God Bless" sentiment by American Art Stamp Paper: Lily Kate - Basic Grey, Neenah Solar White, SU vellum card stock, SU Whisper White Ink : Onyx Black Versafine Accessories : Sheer 5/8th Inch organdy ribbon, Nestabilities (Circle and scalloped circle), sewing machine, white thread, circle of plastic canvas, copic markers, white brads, paper piercing ...

Pinecone Balls Revisited

So lately I have been noticing that a lot of the traffic to my blog has been to the tutorial on how to make the pinecone balls that I put together about a year ago. SO, due to the increase in popularity, I thought I would get rid of some of my extra supplies on hand (because I made some already this year again and my fingers are sore enough) -- I have decided to giveaway a kit that contains enough supplies to make three balls. It features some great papers and ribbon and will be similar to the ones you may have seen at orientaltrading.com . I know it is not a huge giveaway, but I thought it would be fun! To enter, tell me what your favorite Christmas tradition is in the comments section of this post. I will draw a random winner on December 1st , so enter today!!! UPDATED: We have a WINNER -- Post number 44 was chosen using the random number generator and the winner is *drum roll please* Rosella said... WOW! I'd love to make some of these beautiful pinecones!
