I'm SORRY!

Oi! Times flies when you are busy busy busy! Okay, I finally finished the prizes for my last blog contest - you know, the one where I had you all guess my middle name sometime back in *embarrassed* February. EEK!

Inside of these coaster boxes are the following:

  • Two rolls of American Craft Ribbon
  • One Roll of ribbon by Michael's on wooden Ribbon spool
  • One bag of brads, eyelets, paperclips
  • One Prima assortment (including leaves and flowers)
  • One bag of punches (scalloped ovals and corners - assorted colors and sizes.)
  • One bag of fibers (hemp, wire, funky yarn, rick rack)
  • One stamp, One sheet of puffy stickers, Two paper bag books -- just choose how to tie together and decorate, starbursts.
Congratulations again to the winners of these: Jeri and JenMarie. I will get these out today! So watch for them early next week! Thanks for your patience. I am so sorry for not getting these out sooner . . . but I hope that they are cool enough that you will think they were worth the wait.

I just wanted to add the sweet comments that I got from both of the winners! Their emails made me tear up!

I am so thrilled with my prize! I keep getting all the goodies out and looking at them. What a wonderful package to receive! I am posting a picture of something I made this morning with the vanilla scallopped oval and some of the prima flowers. You sure did make me smile... Jeri

My Decade Later Comeback and Playing Catch Up

Hello friends, It's been awhile and I kind of dropped off the face of the planet since moving to Oregon. I got busy with growing four babies into teens, and attempting to hold together a marriage with a partner who was working out of town for the most part. It was a lot! Truth be told, I have been spending most of my time over on Instagram which allows for more quick picture and caption posts (@the.amanda.sewell), but I really, genuinely miss having a journal of our adventures, so I'm back.  Some changes, my ex-partner moved out in October of 2023 (after 23 years of marriage, who would have thought?) and I am on a new, single mom adventure with the fabulous four. Luckily, they are adjusting to the changes well as we navigate this challenging time as a family team. Things are still in flux and hopefully at the end of all of this, the dust will settle and we will end up landing on our feet. Because of this change, I needed to go back to work and after not working for the past lo...

(SSD014) - Ear Infections and Pneumonia

I apologize for my late posting today . . . the countdown to being 40 weeks preggo continues.  This week has been crazy out of control already, and it's only Tuesday!  YIKES!   Friday night Baby E was running a fever and really congested.  We gave him tylenol/motrin, but he would not take in fluids, and I was worried about him, so I slept on he floor beside his bed (stupid thing to do at 39 weeks pregnant).  Anyway, I cried a bit, and when I woke up in the morning, I had the most intense pain in my right ear ever!  Seriously OW!   Saturday, Mic took the baby to the pediatrician, where he was diagnosed with double ear infections, and pneumonia -- he had a breathing treatment there, and an antibiotic shot . . . and his lungs were sounding much more clear when he left.  Late Saturday night his fever broke, much to our relief.   Sunday was an okay day, mostly we just all rested -- an interesting thought occurred to me while I was on th...
