Bloggers Only Valentine Swap - Denise Foxworthy

Stamps: Paisley Background (SU!), Sentiment by Darcie's. Paper: Rose Romance, Mellow Moss, Pretty In Pink, Basic Black. Accessories: Ticket corner punch (SU), Cuttlebug Emboss Folder (Swirls), Black gingham ribbon, Heart Brad by Making Memories, Felt Heart (sizzix die), Pearl stickpin (craft supply). Ink: Basic black, mellow moss/versamark.

The first thing that crossed my mind when I saw this one was wow, so different. I had seen an article on how felt was supposed to be popular for 2007 and was surprised to see it on a card so quickly after I read that. You go girl, you trendsetter you! I really love this card. All of the stampers who used cuttlebug are in trouble. I have been trying to avoid getting one and you all are making me want it more and more. Love the stick pin -- it is just so cute!!!

cute!! i'm enjoying seeing all these great card creations. love the felt on this one.

question for you - re: the card (below) that Colleen did - how do you write on the chocolate chip note cards? are you using a white pen inside, or do you mount a white paper on the inside? i love these cards but am stumped as to the functionality of it as an actual card to write on. just wondering your thoughts; that would be appreciate. thanks a bunch. i love your blog and your creations. thanks for sharing.

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). Stamps : For the Soul (Hanna Stamps), "God Bless" sentiment by American Art Stamp Paper: Lily Kate - Basic Grey, Neenah Solar White, SU vellum card stock, SU Whisper White Ink : Onyx Black Versafine Accessories : Sheer 5/8th Inch organdy ribbon, Nestabilities (Circle and scalloped circle), sewing machine, white thread, circle of plastic canvas, copic markers, white brads, paper piercing ...

Pinecone Balls Revisited

So lately I have been noticing that a lot of the traffic to my blog has been to the tutorial on how to make the pinecone balls that I put together about a year ago. SO, due to the increase in popularity, I thought I would get rid of some of my extra supplies on hand (because I made some already this year again and my fingers are sore enough) -- I have decided to giveaway a kit that contains enough supplies to make three balls. It features some great papers and ribbon and will be similar to the ones you may have seen at orientaltrading.com . I know it is not a huge giveaway, but I thought it would be fun! To enter, tell me what your favorite Christmas tradition is in the comments section of this post. I will draw a random winner on December 1st , so enter today!!! UPDATED: We have a WINNER -- Post number 44 was chosen using the random number generator and the winner is *drum roll please* Rosella said... WOW! I'd love to make some of these beautiful pinecones!
