WORLD CARDMAKING DAY

Well, I had planned on participating in more of the challenges on SCS, but you know how life sometimes gets in the way of stamping. *giggles* I managed to get two cards done. I have my mother and father in law coming this coming weekend, so I will probably be MIA as I prepare for their visit.

This card was for WCMDFS08 - which was a featured stamper challenge. I used this card by sherrylc05 as my inspiration piece.

I don't know if you noticed, but Kristi, of Hanna Stamps, released a couple of new Riley and Sophie Moose stamps at the release party earlier this week. She released a pajama one and the one of me (*ahem Sophie*) standing on the scale dreaming of cupcakes. I love the scared look on Sophie's face -- captured perfectly!! I promise to post a card soon using the PJ one.

Stamps: Scale Sophie (Hanna Stamps) Paper: Berry Bliss (SU!), Chocolate Chip (SU!), Neenah Solar White Ink: Onyx Black Versafine Accessories: Chocolate Brown brads, Copic markers, Dimensionals (SU!), clear embossing powder, brown thread, sewing machine, brown dotted organdy ribbon

This second card was for WCMDSC08 - which was a layout sketch challenge. I thought this Riley Moose snowman image would be perfect. This card also qualifies for Bev's Hanna Stamps Anniversary Challenge (HSAC05) - to use buttons on your project.

Stamps: Snowman Riley (Hanna Stamps), Happy Holidays sentiment (Amuse) Paper: Wild Wasabi (SU!), Real Red (SU!), Neenah Solar White, Red & Green Polka Dot (The Paper Studio- Hobby Lobby) Ink: Onyx Black Versafine, Real Red Classic (SU!) Accessories: Copic Markers, sponges, sewing machine, white thread, 3D Glue dots, clear embossing powder, heat tool, SU oval punch (large), striped red satin ribbon, Red prima flower, red button, poinsettia leaves by Making Memories, white liquid applique.

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). Stamps : For the Soul (Hanna Stamps), "God Bless" sentiment by American Art Stamp Paper: Lily Kate - Basic Grey, Neenah Solar White, SU vellum card stock, SU Whisper White Ink : Onyx Black Versafine Accessories : Sheer 5/8th Inch organdy ribbon, Nestabilities (Circle and scalloped circle), sewing machine, white thread, circle of plastic canvas, copic markers, white brads, paper piercing
