No Sew Tu Tu!

It's ballet class Thursday again . . . so what do you do when you are feeling like making something and you remember seeing this adorable tu tu tutorial on Tip Junkie (I *heart* this site so much and warn you if you are crafty, you will get sucked in)

Tulle just happens to be 40% off per yard this week at the JoAnn's store!! Use this tutorial and make this tu tu for your sweet little girl to play in. Seriously, cost me total $3 for the tulle (I only bought three yards) and the ribbon came from my stash. I wish I had more satin ribbon, but I still think it looks darling and I know she loves it! It took about an hour total time to make. YAY! This would make the perfect skirt for a fairy costume, you can obviously lengthen or shorten the skirt to whatever length you desire. I figured I would show this off now so some of you would have time to make it as part of a costume for Halloween. Fancy Nancy's got NOTHING on us!! Happy not sewing! (Please ignore the messy hair, she is wearing a PJ t-shirt and just woke up basically!)

If you have not entered my 500th Post Celebration Blog Candy drawing, don't forget to do that before you go! Winner will be chosen this Friday at noon AZ time!

Too cute - I'm all for anything that doesn't require sewing. But, I'm guessing my 4year old boy won't want to wear anything like this for Halloween this year!

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus).
