Penny Black Addiction!

I don't normally post on Saturday -- but I had to show you some of the work I made yesterday. I worked on two cards and they turned out fun!

WATERCOLOR MINIS/ AUTUMN LEAF PRINTS: This puppy card is my entry into CC116 on Splitcoast. I got this adorable Penny Black puppy in the mail today (and 6 other stamps -- shhhh- don't tell). I did some retail therapy the other day and it arrived! WOOHOO! I stamped the background with SU "Watercolor Minis" (retiring) using timber brown staz on ink on the chocolate chip card stock. I like the timber brown as it is just a touch darker than the chocolate chip. It is hard to see in this picture because I took this shot at night -- I will probably re-upload in the morning when I have better light. Everything else on the card is pretty self explanatory. The tab I punched and stamped with "hello" from Autumn Leaf Prints (*is sad that it is retiring*) Buttons are adhered using craft glue (fast drying super hold kind).

This second card is another image from Penny Black. I am seriously in love, *heart muchly* the whole Penny Black collection. This time I paired this adorable cow image with some paper by Die Cuts With A View. I love the colors on this paper. The colors used on the card are green galore, bashful blue, rose red, orchid opulence, pale plum. It is hard to see (I took the picture late at night) -- They are gorgeous. I watercolored in the flowers in the cows hooves to match the paper. The layout was totally "inkspired" by WAXYO -- Meg has this most wonderful gallery and this layout was no exception. I found this ribbon and thought it matched perfectly. I used my oval punch to create the tag that says SMILE! Oh and SMILE is stamped using my Karen Foster Snap Stamps Small Casual set. I added stickles to the flowers to make them sparkle (well, that and I am addicted to playing with stickles). All in all -- a simple, cute card!!! Tell me what you think?

I am nearing 85K page loads on my site. I think that for my 100K page load I am going to have to give some cool stuff away, so keep tuned in to see when that will be. Oh and be sure to leave me some blog love.

It's good to see that someone else has this "addiction" to Penny Black stamps! I just received 3 more cows to add to my collection (along with this one on your card). They are so precious - love the expressions on the faces!

If these cards don't cause someone to smile, there is just something wrong. They are adorable. I esp love the cow card. Good choice of stamps!!!

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). Stamps : For the Soul (Hanna Stamps), "God Bless" sentiment by American Art Stamp Paper: Lily Kate - Basic Grey, Neenah Solar White, SU vellum card stock, SU Whisper White Ink : Onyx Black Versafine Accessories : Sheer 5/8th Inch organdy ribbon, Nestabilities (Circle and scalloped circle), sewing machine, white thread, circle of plastic canvas, copic markers, white brads, paper piercing
