GREYS DAY -- 2 Hour SPECIAL

In case you missed the trailer for this episode: 2 Hour Special

I don't know about you, but I am DYING to see this episode. I will be back after it is done to give you my thoughts. Can I just say though that I LOVE this show! Happy Thursday . . . (to be continued) . . .

Okay, am I the only one who was totally let down by this two hour show? I was totally expecting my Greys and what I got was lots of prep work for Addisons' new show and I got to meet lots of new characters that I did not really care about. Because of all the time they spent doing introductions, they did not really make us feel sad for Mer's new mom dying, in fact, I did not even flinch because I totally knew it was coming. *sigh* Hopefully next week is better. I did notice that in the preview for next show, they did not show any of the Addison crowd -- so that is promising. My favorite parts:

Christina and Callie -- LMBO at their bridesmaid conversation -- Christina just seriously cracks me up about this whole wedding thing.

George and Izzy -- am I the only one who is actually excited that they kissed? Is it wrong that I really, really want them to get together? Seriously, I so totally don't even care about how much it will hurt Callie, I just really think they belong together.

ETA: I wanted to talk about the "new girl" in the trailer -- seriously if McDreamy screws this up, I just might have to get a new title for under my name on SCS! Sheesh!!!

Also, just for the record, I did like Addison's new show and the characters -- but just not in my Grey's timeslot -- aka, I wanted to see GA then, not that . . .

So, what did you think my fellow addicted stamper/blog reading Grey's fans????

I agree Amanda - I was disappointed by the amount of Grey's content. I will probablhy end up being hooked on Private Practice (Addison's new show) because of the cute guys, but I STILL WANT MY GREY'S!!! I feel short-changed by last night! Next week had better be all Grey's! And that girl from the preview for next week had better not get her claws on McDreamy - he's Mer's whether she deserves him or not!

I am SO glad you mentioned something about this! You are not alone, Amanda...I was SO disappointed in how disjointed the show was last night. I think they would have been better off doing one hour of Greys and lead into the one hour of Addison's show next...I think most would have continued watching and feel more empathy with the new characters. As it was, I was impatient for the "new" characters to go away so I could watch and understand what was happening with the "old" characters. I hope this isn't the new "trend" with spin-off shows...

I like Christina's reaction to the wedding, too! AND, I do want George and Izzy to be together, but I really like Callie's character! Does anyone else just want to slap McDreamy??? He and Meredith can finally move forward and now he is pushing away! Grrr...

OMG,I totally understand what you are talking about w/the whole Addison fiasco... TOTALLY. Very boring, not to mention I don't think she's a strong enough character to do a spin off herself (sorry addison!!). I'd MUCH rather see Denny!! hehehe

I didn't like the whole 'oceanside' stuff at all. I'm not a big amy brennehan (sorry for the sp) fan nor that 'cooper' guy. I still remember him from prison break. Nor her best friend. Taye diggs did good I thought and I do love the other guy. Oh and the surfer dude. It would have been better if BF would have kissed surfer dude when she had the chance.

I thought the brides maids was hilarious esp. izzy and callie hehe. It would have been nicer to see it in its entirety (alone) so I could have built up to the death and would probably have cried.. alas there was nothing.

SOrry I wrote so much! But I am an avid watcher and I know you are too so it's nice to have someone to talk to about this!!

Ok...another Grey's fan here that spent most of the 2 hr show disappointed, frustrated and BORED by the characters, script writing and plot line in Addison's new show. If this is a spin off I think they need to work on the plot, characters & acting. All I kept thinking during the 'oceanside stuff' was boring. I agree with bobbie, I'd much rather see a spin off with Denny or Izzy. lol But then Izzy helps to make Greys so I wouldn't want to lose her.

I hope next week they do a better job and keep the focus on our Grey's characters. That's why we tune in and that's why its successful.

I did not get to watch the whole thing, but what I saw, I was not happy with.

I did laugh at Addison's "I hate L.A. scene"

Is it me, or was the spin off thing too.....bright?

I hated it! I was totally disappointed. I feel like I didn't even watch Grey's last night! I think they should have done two separate shows, Grey's first and then Addison's show next. Instead I feel very short changed. Oh, well I guess there is always next week.

Long time reader-first time caller..LOL

OK, so am I the only one that LIKED the new show? I knew it was going to highlight & set up the spin off so I was prepared. I must confess that it got the point where I was enjoying the "Spin off stuff" more than the actual show.

I agree though that they gave Mer's Step mom's death the shaft. Maybe we'll see more next week.

I liked the new show, but didn't like it imposing on Grey's territory. I was disappointed... I knew the pilot within a show was coming, but I thought we'd have a little while (I know, it's May, what while?). Addison's character in large doses is annoying to me. I mean, she's wacky and fun, but lordy is she a little much! I love Taye Diggs and Amy Brennamen (sp?) so the new cast is looking good. Uhm... so... yeah... Grey's Anatomy. How heinous is her dad? He hit her! Now she's really going to be messed up... ehrm... more. She even lost her new mommy. Just WRONG! I like seeing George and Izzy together, but he just can't cheat! He was really drunk the first time, so I can forgive a little. Poor Callie... but she should've know better than to marry him. I guess I've gone on enough. Oh... I like that McDreamy and Steamy seem to be bridging the great divide. I would like to see them as friends again. So I'm really going to stop writing now... Thanks for giving me a place to write about GA! ~:-D

Nope, I did not like it either. Addison is not one of my favorite characters anyway. I think the George and Izzy thing has a cuteness factor, but I don't think it will go for the long haul. Just does not seem like a good match to me. I feel so bad for Callie.

Don't know if I want to comment but I LOVED the 2-hour episode. I had heard rumours about Addison's new show and really didn't want it to happen. I didn't want anything to upset my beloved Grey's but I was so engrossed with the LA stories that I didn't even care about Grey's. I can't wait for this new show.

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus).
