Motorcycle Riley / MOJO77 / CC209

It's been one of those days. I seriously feel like I am SO not productive at all the last few days. Anyway, here is a quick card I whipped up for the Mojo Monday challenge (MOJO77).

I have neglected this guy and the guilt was just too much and I had to use him today. The color challenge, on SCS, was the perfect colors for a red hot motorcycle (Rose Red, Always Artichoke and Basic Black), which besides black is pretty much the only color to own right? Here is Mr. Riley, cruisin' down a strip of Arizona highway . . . born to be wild! Hope you like him!!!

Stamps: Motorcycle Riley (Hanna Stamps), Karen Foster Design Snap Stamps (Tiny Casual) Paper: Rose Red (SU!), Basic Black (SU!), Always Artichoke (SU!), Solar White Classic Crest (Neenah) Ink: Onyx Black Versafine Accessories: Copic ciao markers (Imagination International Inc.), Cuttlebug machine (Provocraft), Spots & Dots embossing folder (Provocraft), Clear embossing powder (SU!), black dotted organdy ribbon (Michaels Stores Inc.), circle nestabilities, red glitter brads (The Paper Studio - Hobby Lobby), silver prismacolor pencil.

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). Stamps : For the Soul (Hanna Stamps), "God Bless" sentiment by American Art Stamp Paper: Lily Kate - Basic Grey, Neenah Solar White, SU vellum card stock, SU Whisper White Ink : Onyx Black Versafine Accessories : Sheer 5/8th Inch organdy ribbon, Nestabilities (Circle and scalloped circle), sewing machine, white thread, circle of plastic canvas, copic markers, white brads, paper piercing ...

Pinecone Balls Revisited

So lately I have been noticing that a lot of the traffic to my blog has been to the tutorial on how to make the pinecone balls that I put together about a year ago. SO, due to the increase in popularity, I thought I would get rid of some of my extra supplies on hand (because I made some already this year again and my fingers are sore enough) -- I have decided to giveaway a kit that contains enough supplies to make three balls. It features some great papers and ribbon and will be similar to the ones you may have seen at orientaltrading.com . I know it is not a huge giveaway, but I thought it would be fun! To enter, tell me what your favorite Christmas tradition is in the comments section of this post. I will draw a random winner on December 1st , so enter today!!! UPDATED: We have a WINNER -- Post number 44 was chosen using the random number generator and the winner is *drum roll please* Rosella said... WOW! I'd love to make some of these beautiful pinecones!
