Happy Valentines Day!

I saw this idea in a Making Memories Book - Decorate Life: Celebrations and I knew it would be perfect for Valentines Day. In the book, they put them in a box, but I decided to just tie them together. I put M's favorite chocolate bar (Symphony) inside. Anyway, hope M likes it. This would be easily adaptable for an anniversary, or even a sweet Christmas gift, or to show your kids how much you love them (maybe in mini size candy bars -- just thinking out loud here). Make sure you take the time to give love and tell the people that mean the most to you that you love them. Happy Valentines Day!

Paper: Die Cuts With a View (DCWV) Sweet Collection, Solar Crest White (Neenah) Ink: Onyx Black Versafine, Tempting Turquoise Classic Ink (SU!) Accessories: Glitter Letters (Making Memories), white grosgrain ribbon (SU!), turquoise skinny ribbon (my stash), sponge

Here are a couple of other cute Valentine ideas:

These are small tic tac containers wrapped up with stamped folders with the lips from Hanna Stamps - Sweet Celebrations set and then colored with copic markers. I got this idea from a friend Tracy! Thanks girlie!

I made these yesterday for my sweet kids to give out as Valentines for their classes at church. They were so easy to make using my cuttlebug and nestabilities. I colored the Stampin' Up! retired images using my copic markers. Hope everyone likes them.

Happy Valentine's Day Amanda!
Sorry I haven't posted more lately, I have been sick too (hope I don't need to have MY gall bladder out too! No medicines seem to be helping though). Give your hubby an extra hug since I can't hug mine (he'd deployed).

Hope you are all better by now.

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). Stamps : For the Soul (Hanna Stamps), "God Bless" sentiment by American Art Stamp Paper: Lily Kate - Basic Grey, Neenah Solar White, SU vellum card stock, SU Whisper White Ink : Onyx Black Versafine Accessories : Sheer 5/8th Inch organdy ribbon, Nestabilities (Circle and scalloped circle), sewing machine, white thread, circle of plastic canvas, copic markers, white brads, paper piercing ...

Pinecone Balls Revisited

So lately I have been noticing that a lot of the traffic to my blog has been to the tutorial on how to make the pinecone balls that I put together about a year ago. SO, due to the increase in popularity, I thought I would get rid of some of my extra supplies on hand (because I made some already this year again and my fingers are sore enough) -- I have decided to giveaway a kit that contains enough supplies to make three balls. It features some great papers and ribbon and will be similar to the ones you may have seen at orientaltrading.com . I know it is not a huge giveaway, but I thought it would be fun! To enter, tell me what your favorite Christmas tradition is in the comments section of this post. I will draw a random winner on December 1st , so enter today!!! UPDATED: We have a WINNER -- Post number 44 was chosen using the random number generator and the winner is *drum roll please* Rosella said... WOW! I'd love to make some of these beautiful pinecones!
