Gift for Baby Isabella

Recently, my SIL gave birth to her eighth and final child . . . she had a girl and named her Isabella. I felt like I wanted to send her something, but what do you give the mom who has everything she needs for baby? I thought about diapers, but this caught my eye on a couple blog sites (MaryJo and Lauren M) I saw and I felt inspired to make my own. Babies go through onesies so often, I figured she could always use some. I thought also for sure I had some tins to make the little carriage, but alas, I apparently have used them all, so I came up with this idea because I had these cute little plant pots from IKEA hanging around on my desk. I think it worked out perfectly!!! What do you think? Hope she likes it!!!

Stamps: Baby Moose (Hanna Stamps) Paper: DCWV Pale Pinkish Purple, Neenah Solar White Ink: Onyx Black Versafine Accessories: Pink Twill (thanks Jody), Pale pink flowers (Michaels wedding section), Prima Flowers, pink buttons (SU), swarovski crystals, gem brads (SU), Prima leaves (colored green with copic marker), one pkg. Gerber onesies, plant pot (IKEA), cellophane

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). Stamps : For the Soul (Hanna Stamps), "God Bless" sentiment by American Art Stamp Paper: Lily Kate - Basic Grey, Neenah Solar White, SU vellum card stock, SU Whisper White Ink : Onyx Black Versafine Accessories : Sheer 5/8th Inch organdy ribbon, Nestabilities (Circle and scalloped circle), sewing machine, white thread, circle of plastic canvas, copic markers, white brads, paper piercing ...

Pinecone Balls Revisited

So lately I have been noticing that a lot of the traffic to my blog has been to the tutorial on how to make the pinecone balls that I put together about a year ago. SO, due to the increase in popularity, I thought I would get rid of some of my extra supplies on hand (because I made some already this year again and my fingers are sore enough) -- I have decided to giveaway a kit that contains enough supplies to make three balls. It features some great papers and ribbon and will be similar to the ones you may have seen at orientaltrading.com . I know it is not a huge giveaway, but I thought it would be fun! To enter, tell me what your favorite Christmas tradition is in the comments section of this post. I will draw a random winner on December 1st , so enter today!!! UPDATED: We have a WINNER -- Post number 44 was chosen using the random number generator and the winner is *drum roll please* Rosella said... WOW! I'd love to make some of these beautiful pinecones!
