Artful Inkables Darling Dragons

Do you have this set yet? If not, I thought I would post a card or two and hopefully make you want it. It really is a fun one. If my cards just don't do it, go check out the gallery at Artful Inkables.

Stamps: Artful Inkables - Darling Dragons Paper: Ballet Blue, Lovely Lilac, Basic Grey, Paper Pizazz Designer Paper - Purple Sponged Ink: Memories Black Dye Ink Accessories: Lilac grosgrain ribbon, waterfall stickles (over the ballet blue paper), prismacolor pencils and sansodor (like gamsol), corner punch, paper piercing tool, sewing machine, Marvy scallop punch, foam mounting tape (oval is popped up using this).

I used SC154 on Splitcoast for the layout for this card! Mine is a little different, but pretty close. This is another case where my SU paper colors did not have a color to match the designer paper I wanted to use -- so I turned to my PRISM stash and found this color called Classic Yellowgreen (NEW!) and it was perfect! I love how my PRISM colors supplement my SU colors perfectly!!! Sorry about the softness of the image on this one.

Stamps: Artful Inkables Darling Dragons Paper: Fancy Pants Designs - Fancy Free Collection - Puddles, Prism Classic Yellowgreen, Real Red, Whisper White Ink: Memories Black Dye Ink Accessories: SU oval punches, red gingham ribbon (SU!), Sewing machine, SU fire and ice brads in red, prismacolor pencils and sansodor.

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). Stamps : For the Soul (Hanna Stamps), "God Bless" sentiment by American Art Stamp Paper: Lily Kate - Basic Grey, Neenah Solar White, SU vellum card stock, SU Whisper White Ink : Onyx Black Versafine Accessories : Sheer 5/8th Inch organdy ribbon, Nestabilities (Circle and scalloped circle), sewing machine, white thread, circle of plastic canvas, copic markers, white brads, paper piercing ...

Pinecone Balls Revisited

So lately I have been noticing that a lot of the traffic to my blog has been to the tutorial on how to make the pinecone balls that I put together about a year ago. SO, due to the increase in popularity, I thought I would get rid of some of my extra supplies on hand (because I made some already this year again and my fingers are sore enough) -- I have decided to giveaway a kit that contains enough supplies to make three balls. It features some great papers and ribbon and will be similar to the ones you may have seen at orientaltrading.com . I know it is not a huge giveaway, but I thought it would be fun! To enter, tell me what your favorite Christmas tradition is in the comments section of this post. I will draw a random winner on December 1st , so enter today!!! UPDATED: We have a WINNER -- Post number 44 was chosen using the random number generator and the winner is *drum roll please* Rosella said... WOW! I'd love to make some of these beautiful pinecones!
