Portland, OR - Seaside Beach

Today I planned to hang out with Dorinda, and she suggested going to Seaside Beach. So, E, J and I picked her up, and her two sweet girls (Maddie and Rebecca), and we headed to the beach. Although our time there was limited, we managed to stop and get salt water taffy, go on a carousel, shop in some stores, and walk along the beach for a bit. Dorinda got keychains that said Seaside on them for E, J and I to remember our time. On the beach Maddie caught some sand crabs and showed them to the kids. It was really neat.


Oh, and on the way back, I got to try an elephant ear that Dorinda got. It was yummy! All in all we had a great day! Dorinda is such a great listener and pseudo mom to me. The drive to and from the beach were probably one of my favorite parts of our time hanging out together. I am so thankful for Splitcoaststampers and the friendships that I have made through the site. Dorinda is just an example of one the amazing friends I have made. We had such a fun time together.

this too was one of our fave things we did this summer!! My girls and I immediatly fell in love with you and your adorable children!! I love the pics of the kids at the Beach.

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! My Decade Later Comeback and Playing Catch Up

Hello friends, It's been awhile and I kind of dropped off the face of the planet since moving to Oregon. I got busy with growing four babies into teens, and attempting to hold together a marriage with a partner who was working out of town for the most part. It was a lot! Truth be told, I have been spending most of my time over on Instagram which allows for more quick picture and caption posts (@the.amanda.sewell), but I really, genuinely miss having a journal of our adventures, so I'm back.  Some changes, my ex-partner moved out in October of 2023 (after 23 years of marriage, who would have thought?) and I am on a new, single mom adventure with the fabulous four. Luckily, they are adjusting to the changes well as we navigate this challenging time as a family team. Things are still in flux and hopefully at the end of all of this, the dust will settle and we will end up landing on our feet.
