MOJO 104 - Autumn Is a Second Spring (for Skipping Stones Design)

Hey remember me? I know, I know, look what the cat dragged in right? I just left you all hanging there for such a long time -- but life has a way of getting crazy. But, the good news is, I AM BACK and just in time for my favorite holiday!

I just LOVE this time of year. The summer death heat is finally over here in AZ, and the temperatures are more mild but not cold -- perfect fof BBQ's and getting outdoors. Truly here in AZ, Autumn is a second spring -- it certainly feels like it.

I have some fun news -- SKIPPING STONES DESIGN are opening their doors again, a grand re-opening (complete with a new website, and they have some AMAZING new stamps that I just know you are going to just want SO bad.) I am having so much fun playing with them . . . oooh, you just wait. Some are funny, some are cheeky, some are just fun seasonal images for you to love.

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). (SSD06) and BLOG HOP

Hey guys! Happy 2010! I was so not ready for vacation to be done when I had to send my kids back to school yesterday! *sad face* We had such a fantastic break! Guess what though? My Decade Later Comeback and Playing Catch Up

Hello friends, It's been awhile and I kind of dropped off the face of the planet since moving to Oregon. I got busy with growing four babies into teens, and attempting to hold together a marriage with a partner who was working out of town for the most part. It was a lot! Truth be told, I have been spending most of my time over on Instagram which allows for more quick picture and caption posts (@the.amanda.sewell), but I really, genuinely miss having a journal of our adventures, so I'm back.  Some changes, my ex-partner moved out in October of 2023 (after 23 years of marriage, who would have thought?) and I am on a new, single mom adventure with the fabulous four. Luckily, they are adjusting to the changes well as we navigate this challenging time as a family team. Things are still in flux and hopefully at the end of all of this, the dust will settle and we will end up landing on our feet.
