Happy Birthday to Me!

I took the day off yesterday! I just did not feel like stamping much *I know shock* and I decided to go get some other stuff done that needed to be done -- like getting new glass for my DS's picture. I also got some paper for DD's name frame.

But, on to more important things! TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY! I plan to head to Mesa today, to one of my fave scrap stores to do a little birthday present shopping (they sent me a 20% off your entire purchase coupon), and eat at Cafe Rio (one of my mostest favorite restaurants). DH said he would make or buy me a cake tonight (pfffffft -- like I even want a cake -- I am trying to lose weight).

So today, you get no pictures of stamping from me, but I am going to post a couple of the birthday cards I have gotten in the mail the past couple days! Hope you like them!

I hope your birthday was a happy one. It is better to have one than the alternative; and besides our young ones always seem to enjoy it more than we do. I love to become a year older because I still have so much to learn, see, do, and love. Happy Birthday!!!

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus).
