Bloggers Only Valentine Swap - Lynn Mercurio

Paper: Pretty in pink, close to cocoa, glossy white cardstock, tempting turquoise, designer series patterned paper: Loves Me. Ink: Craft Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Real Red reinker, Pink Passion reinker, Petite Rose Reinker. Stamps: Noteworthy, Double Line Doodle, Floral. Accessories: rubbing alcohol, Winter White embossing powder, blue stickles, turquoise grosgrain, flirty velvet turquoise ribbon, dimensionals.

Lynn's card ROCKS! I just love the floral background! It is so subtle but so packs a punch. The stickles around the circle are fun too! (Now that I am not a stickles virgin, I love them lots). I love how everything on this card matches so well. The polished stone look in the background is pretty snazzy too!!!

Hi Amanda,

I just adore your blog and love your What's for Dinner Wednesday. I noticed that under "what I'm reading" on your blog you have the book Girls Night In listed. This book is special to me (not because it is the best book ever written, though it is good) but because it was given to me along with a beautiful velvet bookmark about two years ago by a friend (I was going through a horrible divorce at the time and she knew I was in a bad way). Anyway, she was murdered about a month after she gave it to me. So when I saw it on your blog, it just brought those memories back to me. I miss her and I will keep the book and bookmark forever as a reminder of her and her kindness. She was only 20 years old.
Sorry, didn't mean to be a downer, but she was a beautiful soul.

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus). Stamps : For the Soul (Hanna Stamps), "God Bless" sentiment by American Art Stamp Paper: Lily Kate - Basic Grey, Neenah Solar White, SU vellum card stock, SU Whisper White Ink : Onyx Black Versafine Accessories : Sheer 5/8th Inch organdy ribbon, Nestabilities (Circle and scalloped circle), sewing machine, white thread, circle of plastic canvas, copic markers, white brads, paper piercing ...

HANNA PREVIEW: Vintage Toys & A Color Challenge For YOU

This set is a lot of fun! It has SO many possibilities -- birthdays, Christmas, new baby . . . AWESOME! I made a couple cards to show you with it. The first one uses the adorable bear in it. I instantly thought of a baby card when I saw this guy (who knows why I have babies - specifically baby boys on the brain - only 11 weeks left *giggles*). I used a sketch from Limelight Papercrafts (Sketch #4) to create the layout of this card! Both of these two cards also work perfectly for today's challenge on Hanna Stamps (Create a card or item using 2 or more embellishments). This card uses ribbon, sewing machine stitching and buttons. Stamps : Vintage Toys (Hanna Stamps), Karen Foster Design Snap Stamps (Small Casual) Paper : Lily Kate (Basic Grey), Bashful Blue (SU!), Certainly Celery (SU!), Whisper White (SU!), Neenah Solar White Ink : Onyx Black Versafine, Colorbox Pigment Brush Pad - Frost White Accessories : clear embossing powder, white gel pen, copic markers, white bu...
