Bloggers Only Valentine Swap - Erika Martin

Paper: Sahara sand, cameo coral, glossy white Ink: Sahara Sand, cameo coral, rose red, versamark. Accessories: black gingham ribbon, clear embossing powder, stamping sponges, chipboard, glue dots, dimensionals. Technique: Double Resist.

This is one of those cards that when I saw it I was like "Why don't I ever remember to do cool techniques on a swap?" I love the embossing/ghosting on this card. The colors are fabulous also, I am so always stuck in the rut with theme colors, know what I mean? Awesome job Erika!

Amanda - sorry this comment has to do with one of your recipes from below, but i was afraid that if i left the comment there, you wouldn't see it since it was several days ago but i couldn't get my blogger comment thing to work that day.

ANYWAY to cut to the chase; when you say "1 c cranberries" are you talking fresh whole cranberries, or the dried "craisins" cranberries? i want to try both your recipes this weekend but not sure i can even find real cranberries at this time of year?

thanks a bunch. i really enjoy your blog and your creations. keep up the good work and have a good weekend!

Hello -- I used one cup of craisins but I suppose you could use either one.

Also, feel free to reply to any previous post on the post -- I will see the reply because they show up in my email when someone responds. HTH!

HANNA PREVIEW: For the Soul

This set is totally cool! I have not seen anything like it! I think it is perfect for a sympathy card, a thinking of you, a little hand out at church, maybe even for cards at Easter (thinking ahead here) etc. It is so CUTE! Hanna looks so angelic and well, to be completely honest, reminds me of my little sister (not sure why). I used the sketch at Card Positioning Systems (#83) for the layout. I was going for a "touched by an angel" look on the main image (and I think I kind of created that.) I used vellum to overlay the image to give it that glossy fuzz (soft focus).
